Life Is Too Short To Wear Mass-Produced Jewelry… DESIGN YOUR OWN!

It’s no secret- people like to express themselves through their jewelry…

Whether your personal style is to wear something bold, understated, or an heirloom piece, unique jewelry choice is a great way to express your individuality and personality.

Jewelry is an accessory that can add beautiful accents to any look or style, but it also says a lot about the person wearing it. Think of it as the finishing touch on your “personal brand.”

Are you looking to change or upgrade your Jewel Pitara, but aren’t quite sure about the difference between mass-produced and designer/customized jewelry?

I’m here to help.

Read on below before you start shopping for your next unique piece!

MASS-PRODUCED JEWELRY

This type of jewelry is easier to spot. What makes this type of jewelry technically different from designer jewelry is that it is made with the help of machines during its manufacturing process so that millions of pieces can be made using the same styles that you see flooding the market every day. In short, machines and molds make it possible to mass produce the jewelry.

I have clients who prefer these type of jewelry as the piece is ready and they would like to try and buy. With this, you don’t have to worry about the outcome as to what the piece would look like after the finish.

DESIGNER/CUSTOMIZED JEWELRY

There are a few factors that set designer jewelry apart from mass-produced jewelry.

Custom jewelry, on the other hand, is requested by a buyer and made to order with the design, details, and specifications desired by the customer. These pieces are handcrafted, and like other types of designer jewelry, one can choose as to what materials (metal and gems) are to be used. Custom jewelry is always unique jewelry because it involves open communication between the customer and jewelry designer which results in a truly individual piece of jewelry unlike any other.

I as a Jewelry Designer love my job as it lets me develop a personal connection with my clients. Honestly, the customers who prefer this type of jewelry are both men and women who usually want something a little different, know they have their own style. They want to feel it reveals something about their taste and themselves rather than following the crowd, a label or a trend, and they usually are pretty sure about what they like.

How do you choose between the two? Ask yourself a few questions…

Are you looking for everyday jewelry that you want to be able to wear anywhere?

Go Mass-Produced.

Are you looking for a fine piece of jewelry with a pleasing aesthetic that has a lot of meaning to you?

Is it a piece that you’d like to wear on special occasions, or even regularly?

Do you want a piece of jewelry that you helped personally design yourself and that you know will last forever in your Jewel Pitara?
